Storage optimization ideas?

We live in a 2 bedroom house right now, with 3 kids! It’s myself, my husband, our two boys who are 13 and 10 and our 3 month old daughter. We have 1 closet, which is in our bedroom, which we share with our 3 month old and we’ve got a pantry. We have no basement, no attic and my husband works in the garage a lot, so storing things out there is out of the question.

Pantry inventory is must.
Plan meals around dated items,take to food pantry(donate) those items the family no longer likes to eat.Or bought with good intention and now no longer intrested in cooking.
Pitch those things that are past usage date.
light bulbs and cleaning supplies can be kept in respect areas of use.
bathroom supplies in bathroom etc..
Organize like items with like.

Can racks help under sink or other cabinets.

Do you have a door or a folding door,if a door then get one of those see thru shoe holders(I got mine at kmart.) This is good for many things from spices,packets of seasoning,gravies,jello,spaghetti noodles, on he lower half I store things like ,band-aides, dish sponges,spot remover,dish gloves,other cooking supplies rarely used.
Your closet may be able to have one also for other items like lint roller, gloves,hats, flip flops,shoes,small umbrellas etc..
Add hooks for other items and wire racks for other items like wax paper and aluminum foil.
Dump all noodles by type (including spaghetti) into clear stackable containers that fit on kitchen pantry shelving
If there is space above in your pantry put another shelf. a few screws couple pieces of wood for support to hold a shelf.

There is nothing that would stop me from putting can goods in a garage. Or even non essentials like a crock pot or steamer If I need to or under a bed or in a basket or box.

A box or even a trash can can hold chip bags and other items.
Iron boards and things like this can be stored under beds or hung on the back of a door.

wash rags,dish towels and those items can be rolled up and stored out in the open or stashed in cereal boxes or a Clorox bottle top cut off makes a bucket(these can hang on walls of pantry also for easy access, or put on hooks.

maximize floor use in pantry.
Add stick up lighting if needed.
