FOOD STORAGE HOMESTEAD

ATTENTION HOMECANNERS with KERR JARS & LIDS…?
I belong to several yahoo groups on food storage and homesteading. It seems that people who have MANY years of canning experience (often over 25 years) are loosing their food due to the NEW kerr lids.
Lids are popping several WEEKS after food has been canned. One person with 28 years canning experience has lost her entire $900 worth of food storage.
Please ONLY answer this if you homecan with Kerr lids.
Please ONLY answer if you have a problem with lids popping.
Are you lids new (purchased past two years)?
Are your rings new (purchased past two years)?
How many years canning experience do you have?
How many of your lids are popping vs how much you canned?
How long after canning are you lids popping?

P.S. Please star this question, not because I want points, but because I want more attention for this question, and do NOT want to see homecanners becoming ill.
I just put up 36 quarts of tomatoes, and a few of the lids were Kerr. I hope that they do not fail, that was 4 bushels of tomatos and a lot of work (well, you know this). I will watch the Kerr lids carefully. I generally buy Ball, only because that is what my Grandmother used. Thank you for the warning. I will be wathcing this for any news.
