FOOD STORAGE FROZEN

When food is wrapped for baking, should the shiny side be in or out? If it is to be frozen, which side?
Aluminum foil used for food cooking and storage sometimes has one shiny surface and one dull surface.
There is normally very little difference which side is facing in or out. There is a normally tiny increase of efficiency due to the reflectivity of the shiny side towards the food. Generally this difference is insignificant.
The new non-stick “release” variety of Reynolds wrap is treated on one side (the dull side) to be non-stick and when using this type of foil this is the side to be touching your food.
