can i keep my puppy in a storage room?
my dog is a 5 month old staffordshire bull terrier and it keeps destroying my flat when i go out is it legal to keep it in a 8 foot by 3 foot storage room with food water light bed and warmth while i go out
Get a crate. It’s NOT punishment to your dog. A lot of humans view it as cruel, but it’s best for your dog and they don’t perceive it the way that we humans do. Destroying your apartment may be a nuisance to you, but it’s a major choking hazard to your dog (or he could get into chemicals or food he shouldn’t be eating).
My dog LOVES his crate. He even goes and takes naps in there when we’re home – it’s like his bed. In or out of a crate, a dog shouldn’t be left alone for extended periods of time and should be exercised regularly.
I’m guessing (and hoping) that yes, it is illegal to keep your dog in a storage area.
