Food Storage Question?
i jumped the gun and bought all of my Christmas dinner ingredients yesterday. I didn’t even think about a few of the items possibly going bad before Christmas day. The items of concern are as follows:
1. Fresh cranberries
2. Whole fresh pineapple
3. Bag of red potatoes
How should I store these items to ensure freshness? Should I freeze the cranberries?
Thanks for your help!!
The cranberries will be fine. You can store fresh cranberries for up to two months in a tightly-sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator,
The pineapple will keep in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. If you peel it and cut it it will last a few days longer.
The potatoes will be fine if you store them in a cool dark place between 45 to 50 degrees F.
