EMERGENCY FOOD STORAGE IDEAS
Do You Have A Food Storage?

Are the Mormons the only ones who have a food storage in their basements of extra food incase of an emergency? I think it’s a good idea just incase most pastors are wrong about the pre-tribullation rapture and we’re stuck on earth durring the tribullation with no choice but to take the mark of the beast if we want to buy food to eat. I don’t want a chip in my hand, and if you think this won’t happen until after the rapture you are mistaken because it’s ALREADY happened in Europe. Europeans are walking around chipped as we speak. I mean, come on, catch a clue.

Working on building one up – I am Mormon too :) but yeah, it’s a good idea for anyone of any faith. I remember as a kid my family lived off of food storage for a little while, not because of any rapture, or major natural disaster, but just because we hit some financial hard times. It sure was good still having food on the table.

This is actually a pretty good link from our church website that talks about how to build up a food storage: http://www.providentliving.org/channel/0,11677,1706-1,00.html

You definitely hit the nail on the head – you should store food that you’ll actually eat! I know lots of people who store whole grain wheat, for example, but I don’t know the first thing about preparing that into anything like a meal, so for my grains I store rice and noodles – I know how to make meals out of them, and I know it’s something I’ll like eating.

Good luck
