Are Tupperware canisters dishwasher safe?
I have one that had been used to store dry cat food. I want to restore it for flour storage, but even though I have washed it thoroughly, soaked it with baking soda and rinsed it out with bleach, I still can smell the cat food. I’d like to run it through the dishwasher before I give up on it. BTW, these are the white canisters with the small viewing area.

I am happy to report that although the canister was too large to fit on the top rack of my dishwasher, I finally got the smell out by soaking in a 1:10 vinegar/water solution followed by another overnight soak with Dawn dish liquid. Thanks all!
yes they are TOP RACK safe
edit, you may also try white vinegar as a deodorizing method
