BABY FOOD STORAGE FROZEN

Weaning question……………….storage?
Hey everyone im just wondering how you guys store you’re baby’s food when out and about. Ive started weaning my son about a month ago and its going good, however i haven’t yet taken any with me when were out for the day, he just has his bottles. I make his food, normally in batches and freeze but i guess if i want to take it out for the day i should make it fresh? I have a bottle bag will that keep it fresh? Ive just brought some little weaning pots from mothercare so im thinking of making the food in the morning, putting it into the pots then in the fridge, and then taking them out in the bottle bag, is this safe??
When I was taking opened baby food I carried a small cool box or lunch size bag and put an ice pack in it. It worked for me.
